B 9 Injector Test

Test Steps

1 Injector (30) connect to tester (052), close valve "a", vigorously pump 5 times
2 Buzzing test slowly actuate hand lever "b" approx. 1 stroke per second.
3 Spray pattern test with rapid short strokes, approx. 2 strokes per second, the spray pattern should be closed and should break off well.
A - Spray pattern frayed "poor"
B - Spray pattern closed "good"

Pre-spray check (only with hole-type pintle injector)

Shut-off pressure or opening pressure check by opening valve "a" and slowly operating hand lever "b" at least 1 stroke per second.
Nominal value: 115 - 125 bar with new injectors,
110 bar minimum with used injectors.

 

Use only clean test oil or filtered diesel fuel for testing. Under no circumstances should the hand be brought into contact with the spray of an injector. The spray penetrates deeply and destroys the skin tissue. The fuel entering the blood stream may cause blood poisoning.
